SIZING/FIT
The MF Continental Bermudas comes raw/unwashed, and will shrink to tagged size. Follow the usual recommended initial method before wearing: cold soak for 30mn, spin dry and line dry. Please refer to sizing chart to determine which size works for you.
CL's Advice: These are vanity size, with somewhat of a generous waist that can be cinched with the rear adjustable strap. I tend to fluctuate between W30 and W32 in mfsc trousers, according to the model, and opted for a comfortable W32 in the Continental Bermudas, in both fabrics.
CARE
Hand wash or machine wash on delicate, cold water, minimal eco-friendly detergent. Turn inside-out to avoid marbling of the fabric. Line dry only.
STORY
The MF a trouser pattern inspired by classic late 50s-mid 60s casual cotton slacks, blended with vintage insular fashions were initially released with a graded inseam of ~10, falling approximately one inch above the knee, for a traditional Bermuda Shorts style, documented .
I had gone on a custom cropping a few years back, and shortened all my Continental Bermudas to a 4~5 length. I find that proportion easier to wear for my frame, just personal preference.
If you lean more towards a 1953 vibe than a 1973 Angus Young schoolboy , our COOPER treatment may be the ticket on these summer shorts!
We have hemmed a few pieces of MF Continental Bermudas at a ~6 inseam, not as short-short as the look I pull but going for a more conservative traditional mid-thigh cut.
Now, get out in the sun and show some skin if thats your thing, look alive, and get your vitamin D while youre at it!
